The Killing Magic

A geis is a spell that makes it impossible to kill a witch unless certain conditions are fulfilled. A witch may have dozens of geis and each one is a closely guarded secret. But when a prominent witch is shot and killed on the campus of the University of Magic, it’s only the beginning of a murder spree that will cause deep tensions in a city already divided by witches and non-witches and a history of violence that no one wants to dredge up, but which has never been properly laid to rest.
